Deliverance and Deliverers
11.14.20
I have held an incredible tension inside of my spirit over the past weeks. On one hand there is a conviction to stand for the lives of the unborn, and on the other is a conviction for the lives of the African American community who have experienced incredible pain from racism and prejudices.
There has been immense wrestling in my Spirit over these great injustices against humanity. I’ve wept over the people who felt like a vote for the unborn was a vote for the continuation of racism for the black children who were already born.
I hate that racist extremists within the Republican Party has made it feel unsafe for the African American community to cast their vote in favor of life. I hate that fighting for one injustice feels, to many, like trading one injustice for another. I believe God is raising up a remnant that will fight for all lives!
As I prayed about these specific issues over the past weeks, I heard the voice of God over those who chose life even in spite of the wrestling with the injustice towards their own race. He said, “Because you have chosen to fight for those who have no voice, I will fight for you! Because you have risen as a deliverer of the unborn, I will raise up deliverers for you and your children and your children’s children! I will raise you up because even in your pain and oppression, you have risen to fight for others who are oppressed. As you fight for the unborn, I will raise up others to fight for you, just as I raised up Jewish men (Jesus, the disciples, Paul...) to be a light to the gentiles, and then rose up the gentiles to be a light to My people, Israel.
Deliverance comes by the hand of those who sacrifice themselves for another. I am raising up white men and woman to speak on your behalf, just as I raised up Abraham Lincoln to spearhead the civil rights movement. I’m finishing what I started over a century ago. Deliverance will come, not by seeking justice for self, but in trusting me with vengeance and justice as you fight for another who is also seeking deliverance. This sacrificial love will erupt with revival fire in the midst of the chaos. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.” (John 15:13 NKJV). As you lay your life down for this cause, I will show My power for your cause!”
“Bless those who persecute you. Bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep. Love in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but enjoy the company of the lowly. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Carefully consider what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible on your part, live at peace with everyone. Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.” On the contrary, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink. For in so doing, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:14-21 NIV
The same is true of the feminist movement if women will choose to fight for life! For those women who are concerned for their own lives and success, feeling oppressed, if we fight for the unborn, our living children, and we fight for our men, then God will raise up men and children to fight for us!
This is the beauty of God’s way. When we sacrifice for others, God sacrifices for us. When we fight for others, others will fight for us! By way of selflessness we find ourselves taken care of. This is why the nuclear family unit is of such importance in these days, because family is supposed to be where selflessness is best modeled. Husbands fighting for their wives, wives fighting for their husband. Parents fighting for their children and children honoring their parents!
The Kingdom of God is diverse and it is beautiful! I am convinced our strengths and weaknesses actually compliment each other. I believe both genders, every culture, and age group holds a piece of God’s Heart. When we put our puzzle pieces together, that is when we will see the fullness of His love and nature!
“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” Acts 2:17 NIV
