Defiled Manna
4.29.20
I saw a vision of the leaders of God’s people collecting manna. They were hoarding it out of selfish ambition, rather than trusting God’s provision and way of doing things. I knew in the vision that, they were only supposed to be collecting enough for one day, yet they were not being obedient. The next day early in the morning, I could see that fresh manna had fallen from Heaven like morning dew on the ground. These leaders did not go out to collect it because they were too caught up in their own schedules.
When it was mealtime for their family, they realized that the old manna was full of worms, rot and maggots. Instead of throwing it out and repenting, they set a table, and portioned out the rancid manna onto the plates of their families. The people sitting at their table began to eat, as if they couldn’t see for themselves that there was something wrong with it. The people who partook began projectile vomiting. They looked incredibly sickly.
Instead of nourishing them, they literally looked worse then they did before they ate it. I heard the Lord say, “It would have been better for them to fast than to eat what is defiled, at least fasting would bring death to their flesh. There is a deception that comes upon those who partake of defiled manna. It feeds the sickness in them, contributes to their loss of nutrition, and steals their appetite for the fresh things. Fasting would at least contribute to greater hunger and an increase of appetite for the fresh things!”
Then the Lord took me to Revelations 3:1-6:
“”And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’” (NKJV).
The Lord spoke to me saying, “Don’t let your garments be defiled by partaking of the dead culture around you. Stay postured to collect the fresh manna, and be one who only feeds people the truth!”
